Geoff grew up in upstate New York, in the St Lawrence River Valley, near the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. Having spent time camping in the Adirondacks while growing up, Geoff gained an appreciation for the mountains, which are now the main focus of his photography.

Geoff studied Management Information Systems at Clarkson University, earning both a bachelors degree and a masters degree, and currently works in web development with a marketing focus.
